Privacy policy
- No user account, no server of our own, no ads, no tracking, no analytics tools.
- Your places are stored on your device and in your private iCloud. We have no access to them.
- Data only leaves the app through Apple services (iCloud, Maps), when the app loads a website you entered yourself, and when you share something yourself.

2. Principle
Plaise2Be is an app for remembering places. It works without registration and without a user account. We do not operate a server for the app and receive no data from it. The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools and no third-party software components. It only uses Apple services built into iOS.
3. Your places and iCloud
Everything you save in the app (places, notes, ratings, photos and the entries in your private vault) is stored on your device. If your device is signed in to iCloud, the app syncs this data between your devices through the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account. This data is stored by Apple in your iCloud storage. We as the provider can neither view nor retrieve it.
Apple is responsible for iCloud (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland). Apple's privacy policy and the iCloud terms apply. The legal basis for processing within the app is providing the features you use (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
4. Location
With your permission (“While Using the App”), the app uses your location to sort your saved places by distance and to suggest places right around you via “I'm here right now”. Your location is used on the device for this and is not stored permanently. Only the position of a place that you create yourself is saved. For the nearby search, your location is sent to Apple's maps service (section 6).
You can change the permission at any time in the iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Location Services → Plaise2Be. The app also works without location access. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
5. Photos
You pick photos using the iOS photo picker. The app only receives the pictures you explicitly select and gets no access to the rest of your library. The selected photos are downscaled and stored together with the place (section 3).
6. Place search and maps (Apple)
Searching for places, the nearby search, converting addresses to coordinates and back, and route planning use Apple's maps services (MapKit, Apple Maps). Search terms, addresses or coordinates are sent to Apple for this. According to Apple, these requests are processed without a link to your Apple Account. Details are in Apple's Apple Maps privacy information.
7. Importing websites
When you paste a website link into the search or hand it over from Safari via “Share → Plaise2Be”, the app loads that website directly to take over its name, address and a cover image. As with any page visit, the website's operator receives technical data such as your IP address, the time and a browser identifier. We receive none of it. The operator of the website is responsible for its processing.
The link is handed from the share extension to the app locally on your device only, using the iOS keychain.
8. Sharing places
Sharing only happens when you trigger it. Depending on the option you choose, the public details of a place (name, address, category, rating, tips), the photos you select and, if set in the settings, your name as the sender are passed on. Entries from your private vault are never shared. You choose the channel (for example Messages, WhatsApp or AirDrop) and the recipients; the respective providers are responsible for processing there.
When you open a Plaise2Be file shared by someone else, it is read on your device only and saved as a place only after you confirm. The preview of such files (Quick Look) also runs on your device only. It writes technical, non-personal information such as duration and file size to your device's system log; this is not transmitted to us.
9. App Store, TestFlight and crash reports
Downloads via the App Store or TestFlight are handled by Apple. If you agreed in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. We cannot identify individual people from them. You find this setting under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
10. Deleting your data
You delete individual places directly in the app. Deleting the app removes the data from the device. You delete the copy in iCloud in the iOS Settings under [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing to delete on our side.
11. This website
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider. When you visit, the server stores technically necessary log data (for example IP address, browser type, time, requested page, referrer). It serves secure operation and is not combined with other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable provision (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
The website sets no cookies, uses no local browser storage and loads no third-party content. Fonts and images are hosted on our own web space.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For questions, contact us at hello@bartel-media.de.
13. Changes
We update this policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
